Basically, the MC prioritized his sister over his boyfriend at the time (brother in law). They argued over that too, and ML wanted time with MC—but MC basically made more time for his sister.
MC is also prideful and has self esteem issue. He didn’t want to be the first one to call ML, so he waited until ML would contact him first—thus, some months passed. And I don’t think they broke up at the time, just ghosted each other, trying to see who’d contact first.
MC said how he would always push ML away, and wait for ML to initiate communication first.
Later. MC got a call from his sister, and his sister wanted him to meet her new partner who she would be marrying. And that person is ML. MC doesn’t know and is happy for his sister, at the same time, he is thinking about contacting ML and worried he might not pick up.
MC finds out ML is marrying his sister. And while his sister is taking a call during the dinner date, ML kissed MC. So I have a big theory: that ML is marrying his sister because MC kept prioritizing his sister, and Ml wanted some revenge.
MC kept that watch he got from ML. And as he looked at the watch, he questioned himself: Why am I so stubborn? (Referring to him waiting for ML to contact)
Present day. ML and his ex wife (MC’s sister) had divorced. And MC picked him up from a bar, ML was drunk, alone at bar. They went over to ML’s home, and ML came onto MC, giving blowjob.
And they have sex. Hot sex.
While MC is asleep, ML takes his or MC’s phone, and sent something to MC’s sister (a picture of MC sleeping on bed)
IN CH 4: MC’s sister texts him: “Son of a bitch, how could you do that? I never want to see you again.”
And even before she married ML, she knew ML and MC had a thing because ML told her. But she refused to believe it.

Later, she saw her husband at the time (ML) lean on MC’s shoulder, and saw her brother (MC) smile at ML, she laughed a bit. Because she knew. She couldn’t deny. And she said: “I thought I could change his (ML) feelings as time went on.”
SHE said: “If only you (MC) didn’t reciprocate his feelings, if both sides weren’t at fault (MC and ML), then I wouldn’t have been this miserable.”
MY THOUGHT: I think she did that to herself, of course I sympathize with how she feels. But she knew they had a thing going, and still chose to stay with ML and try to change him.
