Lol the example you just gave is an unoriginal and overused trope. Anyone could think of something like that, which is why it's not great writing. Even a 13 y/o girl could think of that. That kind of writing would ruin this gem of a bl.
I agree that this manhwa is already nice though. And who says that the smutty yaoi stories on this site aren't ALREADY dumb bl stories? Some of the smutty stories here are certainly pretty dumb as they come. Especially when confusing sex paired with garbage plot and lazy (borderline-plagiarism) writing comes to play, really dumb lol
Yeah but there are ways to make those tropes interesting and deep. But the story itself began as a dumb 13 year old teenage girl's bl fantasy. This is an amateur and very lazy writing tbh but because it is clichéd and overused already, it is nostalgic to read and easy to digest.
However I see the potential in the story and characters to make it more interesting and deep possibly if executed differently.

I like this...it's quite cliché and ridiculous but I guess it's just a cute and fun story. I would've liked more depth and nuance and it has the potential to be longer series rather than just 8 chapters since the characters are quite light hearted and cute. For example, them being almost lovers in high school and then one of them disappears over night and they meet again as adults but on the opposite side of the gangster gangs or something. So much potential.
It reminds me of the manhua Untouchable with similar dynamics but Untouchable was done a tad bit better and truly had that enemies to lovers done SO WELL that they managed to packet angst, love, longing, tension, crush, and comedy in a few chapters too.
But this is nice too. Thank goodness it isn't smut like let us enjoy some dumb bl stories for once. ┗( T﹏T )┛
