Please explain the dead man switch to me like I'm 5
Took me a while to understand it myself. It's like some switch in engineering or mechanisms where if a person sleeps or dies the mechanism stops or restarts. It's some form of safety device I think. I might be wrong about this but that's what I think it is.
yep! it's a safety device that requires the user to perform certain actions at timed intervals so if it detects inactivity from the user it will be triggered and shutdown whatever system it was connected to
