between the father brother teacher lover friend bomb and the cliffhanger. im choosing to hyperfixate on the cliffhanger instead. its so ridiculous when they put a white rag over a character’s mouth to knock them out because chloroform is not going to make a grown man drop from a single whiff. they are much more likely to die from suffocation in the time it takes for chloroform to affect consciousness. thus people used chloroform in this manner to kill people not kidnap them. could have just hit him in the head with a baseball bat. much more accurate and would have taken the same amount of panels in a chapterヾ(╹◡╹)ノ~

Funnily enough, hitting someone in the head with a baseball bat is extremely unlikely to knock them out long enough. If the person doesn't wake up soon after, they'll suffer brain damage.

yes absolutely. however the point is not to keep them unconscious until location but to get them en route against their will so its much more realistic than chloroform because as an anesthetic chloroform takes like five minutes and that should be more than enough time to knock someone out, drag them to the mode of transport, tie them up, gag them quiet and wake them up. though i dont think the brain damage would be factored into the kidnapping much if the kidnapper’s orders are to deliver the subject without caveats.
