they do heal yes annette first. being in the military really gives her her own freedom as well as a reality check. her character growth is amazing. heiner just gets worse. he becomes extremely suicidal and tries to kill himself. i don’t remember too well how they get back together but they do

heiner kinda sucks but I really hope they get a happy ending. After all they've been put through:'(
