This person goes into comments of Yaoi with the worst degenerate semes and defends them, they’re literally past gone and their opinion unilaterally sides with abusers, groomers, r@pists, and manipulators. They do not possess morals, or if they do, they do not apply them to stories they read because “it’S fIcTioN” and they don’t have the brain capacity to realize that - while yea, it’s fiction and the characters and story are not based on real people or events - normalizing or even romanticizing those types of relationships and writing characters who are criminals and abusive shouldn’t be acceptable in fiction without serious consideration on the end of the writer and their editing team on whether the sensitive topics they’re depicting contribute to a story and aren’t just being utilized as a tool to push a twisted unhealthy romance.
R@pe and abuse are not topics that when depicted graphically and repeatedly contribute much to the story being told and creating literal s3x criminal MLs SHOULD detract from the allure of the character, it should not be a common trait that gets written off because non-con content is so pervasive in romance generally, and in gay romantic media specifically. What you like romanticizes real crimes and abuse. I really wouldn’t be proud about that. It isn’t normal to enjoy certain content depicting non-con and other abuse so casually and DEFEND characters perpetuating what is textbook villain behavior.
This isn’t about me pushing morals, this is about you pushing your - frankly - weird opinions that typically end with defending horrible fictional people and bullying anyone who calls you strange for doing that in the comments. The content you’re engaging with and the depictions of - quite frankly - concerning and not unusually fully domestic cases aren’t something to defend. Most people can enjoy content and criticize parts that were needlessly insensitive or depicted unnecessary acts of abuse or vi0lence, as it typically doesn’t add to 99% of these yaoi stories, yet you feel compelled to align yourself with these strange toxic characters for whatever reason and all I can say - and all I’ve been saying - is that it’s concerning by the sheer amount of time it appears you spend on here praising those vile fictional characters and weird for all of the reasons I’ve listed above.
