I think to Seungha, going abroad (to America in his case) is necessary. He just wants to free himself from painful memories. He wants it to be a way to make him feel a longing for his home more. I, myself, ever experienced this. Sometimes I want to go as far as possible from home, away from my families and people who are close to me. I don't see it as necessity of course. However, I just want to feel how it's like to be far from home and so the moment I return home, I can feel more love towards those I care about the most in my life. LOL
