Somebody commented before that the reason he killed Emiliano was that he (Emiliano) is just using Ines. That and I think Luciano was given the option to choose who he kills between Emiliano and Ines (and child)? I'm not sure
He killed Emiliano bc Ines would've been punished instead for cheating on Oscar. She was supposed to marry Oscar but she ran away with another man and cheated on the CP. The whole country wanted her to be punished. The empress said she'll forgive the family and Ines if she get brought back and marry a count. Emiliano was killed bc Oscar gave Luciano the choice to save her sister by killing Emiliano. Ines knew she did wrong. That's why she agreed to marry the count after she was taken back home. She only killed herself bc she killed her baby before that. If Luca was to be still alive, she would've just continue being Jose's stepmother.

idk why maybe it’s because i have my period today but I ached for luciano when he learned the fact that Oscar has been SA Ines. he didn’t know what to do bcs he is in state of panic to save Ines but conflicted that whatever he may do will affect Ines.
And before he could even execute his plan (together with Carcel) he already lost his sister. And just imagining the rage, and guilt he felt at that time— I can’t help but cry lmao.
I still don’t get his reason for killing Emiliano since I didn’t get to read the whole novel I just read the spoilers like year ago when I found this diamond. But one thing is for sure, he loves Ines so much.
