The incubus isn’t really nice to him, is he….?

I mean..... the main character was told how to exorcise (k*ll) the incubus and thought "I'm gonna keep this info in my back-pocket for a rainy day and not mention it," and people are surprised the incubus is angry after finding out? Sure, the incubus is a dickhead in general, but I don't know why people are surprised that he's not being "nice" at this particular point in the story :v
