Seems like he refused to acknowledge her as his mate. As someone he truly loves. He was in denial. Might be the norm of love can be the greatest weakness for someone like him, Emperor, a dragon who need to stand firm no matter what. They had 14 years relationship but only in the end when FL off herself he showed his emotions. And in current life FL keeps seeing varies of different expression in ML which never being shown in the past life. The smallest and simplest expression as sadness for example, it's all new for FL. 14 Years relationship of nothingness I guess. Only FL invested in their relationship for freaking 14 years.
I know eventually she will give in as that is the point of the story but I love how she’s standing her ground. I hate when they give in too easily. I agree with everyone else, he hasn’t suffered enough but I really want to see more from his perspective. He ignored his mate for fourteen years purely from stupidity??? There must be more…
