The husband is a ball-missing Yandere that will gladly overlook his wife's horrible horrible flaws and I am pretty sure that's what his mom likes about her husband. He stays with her, ignoring that she is ❀garbage❀. I could see her being attracted to the fact that he would kiss the dirt under her shoes just to appease her. And while she doesn't mind her husband allowing her to be a bltch, she will certainly ride that high horse (barely even a pony) and "correct" that flaw in her son
That's plausible but with what we have rn it could also be the complete opposite. She never truly loved the Duke, she simply took advantage of his yandere-ness in a way. Think about it: An influental Duke/hubby with endless cash who is guaranteed to only love you forever? A sweet deal if you know how to play your cards, no? She willingly reciprocated his feelings to maintain her image, gain cash and power, without being tied up in a basement. And when she gets preggo (or even beforehand sometime after getting married) she realizes that she resents this genetic obbsessive love and wants to "cull" it. The husband might've restricted her movement a lot or confined her, as it was mentioned a few times now, how they're always together and how the mom can't leave on her own. She still got the short end of the stick so to say, and so she resents the bloodline.
But yea, either way she is certified garbage who secretly resents the bloodline she married into. All I've rambled about might be true (or not) while she does actually love her hubby, is what I'm realizing now but yk, thought for food.
