Loving but bad parents

I do understand why MC's they do some stuff because that is how they were educated and we can see they love their children, but sometimes I get angry with them! Like, they don't know their children and still they care!

I suspect the og Diana was like how she was because her parents, like they try to make her become like the og Diana!

In same time I do understand why the father want to separate his children! In fact I think that was a good thing to do because MC has a toxic love for his sister, even though he is the best thing that happened to her!

Still... I do like the parents are conmplex characters, they do love their children but the way they have been educated and how they act make them see everything black and white!
