It could be stylistic choice. Maybe we should judge once we see more characters. I’m giving benefit of doubt cause his nipple is brown and clearly author knows how to make dark parts.
I will hope there is a dark character with normal undertones and not cement colored as you said.
Why people fight for their lifes defending and finding excuses about him being gray?
Like art is BAD. We are not talking about real life issues here. Simply, the coloring is BAD. it doesnt look GOOD. it doesnt look appealing BECAUSE he is gray. It is an art thing. Like imagine your character being purple or green, it wouldnt look good. Same with the character being fully white. It just doesnt look good next to the other characters. He looks like he is made out of a STONE or something. He is cement.
