hmm I don't think ML thinks hes a real dog though, at the end of chapter six he talks with his assistant about the casino manager (that guy the MC did the delivery for) being involved with the attack on MC. and then says something like: our puppy is going to be really hurt, which makes me believe he definitely knows hes the MC in dog form
