Yeah, he punches Taeui as a warning to not even think about meeting up with another person, which makes him comply about not going to see Xinlu first. That's domestic abuse 101. Taeui is agreeing not because he wants to, he just doesn't want to get hit again. That's pretty depressing.
Plus if you consider them not even being in a relationship and it's just ilay forcing himself again n again on him Tay never agreed to it in the first place he's just going along with it to avoid abuse everytime...
