Well can't blame the author tho lots of people love that type of plot
There is deeefinitely a lack of communication for sure, but I don't think JJ is misunderstanding anything about Leo. Leo can like JJ plenty, all without respecting him/his time or caring for his needs.
Ex. In the first chapter, Leo leaves JJ with his dick out in the cold when he has to go, saying "Thanks for a great time, big boy!" without so much as an apology or endearment--and post-break-up, his immediate reaction was to sleep around.
Miscommunication sucks, and it often occurs because of pride. It’s wild to see this play out in so many stories; like, a quick convo could clear everything up, but people let their egos get in the way. Tsk tsk, human nature at its finest...
