When you say the first timeline, you mean when she was married to the crown prince? If so, Ines remembers but Carcel is only now getting flashes of it. If you mean the true first timeline, then neither of them remembers it currently.
Yes I mean their very first life not where she married the crown prince. Do neither of them remember until the end?
Answer:
They will both remember. Ines will be given memories very soon…maybe in 5 chapters or so. Carcel will realize he is her first husband when he goes to Bilboa. Eventually, he will be given the full memory of their first life in the epilogue but he will have some memories in the main story. Ines is the one who gets most of the first TL memories within the main story.
Thank you for taking your time to answer seriously! Now I’m even more curious and want to read the novel. Can I ask where do you think the best place to read the novel is? I know sometimes English translations take a lot of the feeling that was portrayed in the Korean novels.
I bought the Korean novels from Ridibooks two years ago. You’re absolutely right that the English version can be watered down. In the case of this novel, it’s far less emotional than the original author’s writing. I just finished chatting with someone who knows Korean and we were comparing the novel part for this episode and the English translation reads like a report and the Korean version is full of raw emotions..

We’re now on the fourth timeline. The first timeline, hidden or not, is still the first timeline. The author even calls the epilogue ‘The Beginning and End Finally Meets’. The epilogue is a novel length story of Carcel and Ines’s first life.
