Oh im so fucking pissed

Never have i seen a bl fumbled the plot as hard as this one i swear it started off solid only to just spiral into the hottest dookie ass shit hole. What is the author thinking????????????

The moment we got louie’s brother’s shitty ass boohoo sob story it felt like watching the story do a car crash in real time. All that heavy trauma louie went through only for his brother to be saved…? A whole rape attempt + pedophilia + incest backstory, only to give the readers(who are already angry enough at the character) this conclusion? are you fucking kidding me? And its not getting addressed properly even. Im not even mad at the characters, im just baffled at the writing. 20+ chapters and louie’s character development hasnt moved a fucking inch. What happened to him seeing the casualties of war and learning from it? The risks it has in zeth’s safety? The weight of difficult decisions as a prince? Yes louie will suffer the burden of his brother’s death yada yada yada but that’d have been a great theme to explore regarding the death of your abuser. Louie deserved to have an arc where he saves his present instead of his past and to have him realise that its never been his fault; just awful circumstances. All these conflict and heavy themes but the Author genuinely could not write complex and morally grey characters to save their life and butchered louie’s character completely. At some point u have to wonder in writing and developing mary sue ass characters; are u making them kind or are they now selfish as fuck in preserving their own comfort. I wouldnt have been this heated if we didnt get multiple povs of people’s valid perspectives of the war. Whats the use of that if your character doesnt learn shit from it? An angsty story about an intersex character navigating through court drama AND gender identity should have been a fucking banger. The potential is there! Not whatever this is ? Im just so fucking pissed i wasted my time reading this.
