possible spoiler-y lengthy opinion..
I think they still have a chance of being endgame.. buuuuut... I'm kinda thinking Haruki deserves better.. not that I don't think that Akihiko is great but he is kind of leading Haruki on and deceiving him a bit. He is still having sex with women for money and he is basically totally in love with his male roommate that he has never mentioned to anyone meanwhile pretending to be a well-rounded reformed man from the violent/bad attitude guy he was before Haruki helped him through his tough time presumably caused by his volatile relationship with Ugetsu (violin dude). Meanwhile, Ugetsu loves Akihiko back but his musical genius is thwarted by their relationship and it seems as if he has consciously chosen to pursue music instead of their relationship as lovers... although they do seem to be sex friends/roommates sooooo.. its kinda like.. wtf.. Haruki is kind of pitifully in love with Akihiko and we aren't really sure what he feels for Haruki but he is a bit touchy-feely-flirty with him and always telling him how he saved him and how he should like himself more... but the reader doesn't really know what that means in a romantic/friendship sense. Well this is just what I can make out from the raws up to ch 17 please don't take my opinions as fact or summary as I cannot read Japanese and am just doing my best with the help of google-sensei .. but I also wish things would work out for Haruki.. and I also like his friend Take-chan who seems to be cute and cherishes him as a friend (they also had a cute blushing scene in ch 12).. and in a funny extra in volume 3 it shows how Take-chan didn't really like Akihiko much when Haruki first introduced them!! Haha.. geez!! sorry for the novel-length post!!!.. but I guess I'm just saying I feel you -and I wouldn't give up just yet!!
oh boy, then i totally agree, haruki deserves better (better than being led around like this - and tbh also better than akihiko), and damn i'm strarting to kinda dislike akihiko - but i get the feeling that he might be natsuki-sensei's favourite because of all the focus he gets and how many damn characters are into him. honestly, after all the ship-teasing i'm outta here. whenever this happens i feel like it's unsincere storytelling, playing with the readers expectations and building them up to fail :///
Same now it just feels like trolling I'd rather focus attention to the main boys(uenoyama/mafuya)anyway they are just as interesting and I hope they stay the main focus of the story
I agree with you. I'm still torn if I should continue shipping them or not, but I'm leaning to stop. Even us readers are being led around, I CANNOT DEAL T-T
Sorry if it sounds like I'm complaining but it's not really fair! T__T I'm really crying because of the development of Akihiko x Haruki ship as of the latest chapter.
How come that there are hints of Aki x Haruki from earlier chapters but they will not be the endgame?? Some say that it will be Aki and the violinist guy. However, I think that this not give justice to us fans of Aki x Haruki ship. We hope for them to be a couple but please! sensei! don't let us down pleaseee! I'm begging sensei! T_T
Haruki is a better pair for Aki because he helps him to be more positive in life. I really don't like the violinist guy T__T
