i’ve seen a lot of comments saying that yejun is childish/pathetic for not leaving do-yoon and i think that those statements are incredibly tone-death. genuinely what do you expect yejun to do when he was quite literally coerced into this relationship? do-yoon himself said that if yejun tried to run they’d take siyeon away from him. yejun was already struggling financially to take care of siyeon with his illness and it’s not realistic to expect him to try to run from do-yoon who has an infinite amount of resources in comparison to yejun. he’s trying to do what’s best for his kid and do-yoon has intentionally manufactured this situation where yejun is in no position to refuse/leave him. it’s the same thing as blaming a DV victim for not leaving and the whole notion is very victim-blamey.
