I don’t think there’s a degree of closeness, friends, lovers, close classmates or workmates can use ssi, its just show you’re close but still with a certain level of respect. It’s more formal than « -ah » that is use for someone younger or an equal with whom you’re really close (like best-friend). Well everything I’m saying is based on things I learn in manwha or with K-pop groups so it’s not 100% accurate

*oops im not sure if i replied correctly so sorry Im just kinda reply again just in case. haha. and just want to add thank you again!
Oh that makes sense. I think I kind of got it now. haha (≧∀≦) yeah i think it's just more formal.
maybe i'm just not used to reading manhwa where they call eo with ssi. hahaha.
Hi! Can anyone explain to me why they calling eo by name + ssi? Sorry, I was just really looking for more chp of them but I noticed they call eo with ssi in korean raws haha. I mean i thought ssi sounds too formal or like not really close (?)
*Sorry too if not the right platform or just hoping some translators/k learners will see this q. haha. please help this confused person. (●'◡'●)ノ
