His so-called character developement is flawed. The author started it off from the wrong foot. I get that they tried to make viewers think he's redeemed but its just so wrong.

Yeah, I mean sometimes life is unexpected like this one. I’m not saying this can be the true story based manga, but this can happen in irl too, to some people. It bites some people in unexpected way. I agree with this comment.
yeah im pretty sure it happens IRL, i've seen someone worse than ML IRL. but that still stands that this ML is just shit and i cant see his changing as being redeemed just because he's nice to MC and 'fell in love' with him because I dont think he went through enough after being a piece of shit to MC and homophobic, without no love rival to give him a taste of his own medicine.
Him can not get it up when having sex with women, so then he realized he fell in love with MC, is not character development.
