Nope not as of right now, though I don’t doubt that when the novel is finish there will be extra spicy sides but at least from the eng trans I’m reading where not close to the end just yet imo

It’s not completed BUT I’m talking about the end of part 1, but basically we get the backstories of eui-jae and sayoung as well as the west sea rift. This is both Euijae and sa young’s 3rd life together.

Euijae saved sayoung when he was little and he was the only survivor and thus they sort of become each other’s light so to say. Euijae feels a sense of duty to protect the ppl around him espc since the world was incredibly unstable, and he was just going through the motions in life allowing himself to be used by the public bc there was no other choice, but saving sayoung was *his* choice. Sa young is incredibly injured but now sayoung is euijae’s purpose, he goes and finds antidotes and visits him regularly and they form a special bond where they are both the savior to each other.

This is what happens in this current world line. While we don’t a full picture of what happened in the first WL yet, we can assume smtn of the same caliber happened but unlike the present, no one knew of the apocalypse coming (there’s a character upcoming that knows of the past WL). Also, sayoung doesn’t have powers during this time (there’s more context to this but I’m going to be basically recapping the whole story atp, so just read it please ) and so he dies for euijae. Euijae distraught, used a special item to turn back time and restart it.

The second world line is also shrouded with mystery, but essentially euijae protects sayoung and sacrifices himself and dies in the process. This leaves sa young to crash tf out and tries to also turn back time with euijae’s item. This is where my boy heon yeseong comes in he’s more mature in this WL and fixes the item somewhat that allows time to go back, but because the item has been used once before, there was going to be a cost for it. The cost being sayoung having to stay in that WL, and if he goes to the next one, the two WLs would merge causing the end of the world. But he sacrifices himself and stays there in order for there to be a possibility that euijae is alive.

The west sea rift connect the world lines together and tbh it’s a lot of info but at the end of the first part where euijae goes through each of these WL, somehow sayoung merges with 2nd WL sayoung which causes him to go in a coma he wakes up but there’s many things to be resolved.


There are a lot of moments and small details that make this a lot more tragic than it is so go read the novel

I just realized the “lil bit” part of this comment so don’t look too much into my other comment bc it’s heavy spoilers whoops basically novel not completed so we don’t know but end of part one ends with sayoung in a coma as well as the realization that this is their 3rd life together
