River doesn’t care for her in that way he just sees O’Neill in her so basically just using her to be with someone that reminds him of his actual love. Rudrik loves her sincerely always has in every timeline and so she will have that love with him

I see the arguments here i know rud grew up more differently than he was as a kid(trauma) and our mc wants love like her parents(which definitely made her delulu but blindddd asf) and literally river is like her father and she definitely is like her mother and because I've read so much that I'm overthinking things like what if rud became a 2nd ml or will river be the 2nd ml both will definitely hurt me so why not take both( ╹▽╹ )
