I am muslim and the author isn’t throwing shades. He is doing a very good job showing how occidentals people view us muslims and our “stricts” rules. I love his way of showing it . It does bother a little but believe me even in 2024 some treat this topic as depicted in this manga or even worse.
Not throwing shades bc i get it can be difficult to understand and to accept for some people and the reaction of the little brother show it clearly. I hope all of us can be as understanding of each other
right! i’m a muslim too and i think they do a very accurate way of portraying this without, going overboard or being disrespectful.
Not sure how to take this but the author did a good job of portraying how people normally react to "monotheism" and its strict rules. Certainly reminds you of one in the real world. I reacted like that in my childhood too.
And I don't mean this in a bad way. Though I find it very odd and it feels like the author is throwing shade or maybe I'm overthinking things and just read it without thinking too much about it. Religion is a very heavy topic after all.
