guys, please don’t tell people not to use 'cp' (couple or character pairing) if you don’t want to be called a braindead, xenophobic westerner. asian fandoms have been using 'cp' for couple or character pairing for a veeeeery long time now, and they don’t appreciate being policed by westerners about this.

Hey....I am happy that you wanted to clear up the fact that it is used differently in the fandom in different countries. I have NO ISSUE at all with you "correcting" what I don't know, because now I know.... But you could simply have explained that instead of going NUCLEAR about something so minor as this. Let me be clear, I DO NOT think it is minor in any way that "westerners" police anyone about anything, but in this case it is minor.

If it hade been the other way around, and a "westerner" had used cp (for chxxd Pxxn) on a Asian forum, would it also be fair to call, the people who told them it's used for "couple" or couple pairing" braindead or racists?

Nobody is "braindead" or "xenophobic" for not knowing words are used differently across the world... There are probably words you use that mean something else in my language (not English) which does NOT make you braindead nor racist for not knowing...

I get that it's probably pent up rage from experiences, and I unfortunately can't change that, but please direct all your hatred towards ACTUAL "braindead xenophobes"...
