Lmfaoo that’s just ridiculous! Acting like Jake’s legal obligations somehow justify his entire deceit is such a cop-out. It’s not like he was being held at gunpoint to hide his identity he made a choice to lie to Shin and involve him in a dangerous game without any regard for the consequences.
It’s infuriating how people keep saying Shin should just be happy Jake isn’t a thug anymore, as if that erases all the damage Jake caused by lying to him. It’s not about whether Jake’s a thug or a cop Shin’s issue is that he was lied to, manipulated, and put in danger. Jake pretending to be someone else for so long shattered Shin’s trust, and that’s not something you can just brush off because “hey, at least he’s a good guy”
