Unfortunately it's a village mindset. I live in a village and they do not accept gay relationships. If someone is even a little different from the usual, they don't look kindly on it. Let's just add that I was brought up in the same way, and yet I don't have the same perception, the same worldview as they do. So the girl is also to blame here, but I hope that will be resolved in the next chapter.
