When I finished reading the novel, I couldn't help but hate Lariette, as I've already mentioned before. I know the author wanted to make Doha an antagonist, but the truth is he didn't deserve it, He also had his own problems, his own traumas and he wanted to feel beloved, the ending they gave him seemed pretty pathetic to me, SPOILER: Giving Lariette the happy ending married to Asrahan, children, and one of them being the exact clon of Lariette, and still harassing a Hermit Doha?? Like, why??
