I thought there was a plot twist in that call, being another woman will answer the phone and that was the reason she was neglected cause her mother was lesbian and her dad was mad at her mother's affair and she was the only reason they stay in that marriage making their life hell. Making her a homophobic person but nah HAHAHAH the backstory didn't even make sense to why she can't support them like wtf?!
