It’s not about not wanting the bad guy to have a happy ending but not now. He has to reflect on his action and have therapy so maybe he could even have a spin off or a side story but not now. He did something terrible ! As you say there are too many toxic stories but at least in this one, the bad guy is punished.
What is wrong is that a group of people always polute the topic when there is an update whining "I don’t want Suha blablabla" and badmouthing the main story obviously ignoring what the title is...（￣へ￣）

I see your point and agree. If the author feels like writing more about Dohyeok hopefully it shows him getting the therapy he needs and maybe a timeskip. I feel like a lot of people are showing support of Dohyeok because when his side story ended he was getting mainly hate even though he got punished. At that time I thought I was the only one who liked his story. So I guess people want to show that he is liked and not just hated. Because sometimes authors stop writing about a character because they think they are just hated.
And I feel like even though people like Suha his story is just getting dragged on, it feels more like a season than side story. If it showed happy moments like how they spend holidays together it would be received differently or if it was labeled season. I feel like in a way people mentioning Dohyeok is like their prayer to hopefully get more Dohyeok and if they write it more the bigger the chance they believe it happening. At least that how I see it. And agree that people shouldn't badmouth Suha just write that they want Dohyeok as well or they like Dohyeok's story and wish for it to continue no need to hate on Suha's story. Since like you said the title is Suha and it's rude since it's about Suha.

I agree with what you said except "what Dohyeok did compared to them isn't as bad" people's traumas cannot be compared. It's okay to sympathize for a character but we shouldn't justify what they did. Ofcourse I mean this not only for Dohyeok buy any character who is toxic and does horrible things like Dohyeok's r@pists also.

also in team dohyeok does NOT need his story and romance in here. author made him more dimensional when he was paired with siwoo and people see his past and actually want to him redeem himself but it's called my suha and it will never change the fact that suha is a victim of abuse, rape and blackmail although as yall say "he isnt as bad as other seme" HE IS BAD and he needs therapy which will be a long arc and will be better if it's explored in a new spin off. suha and jiwoon story might be dragged maybe due to popularity and fanbase as this is one of the highest reads in korean bl so author can choose not to focus dohyeok anymore in here as the pairing has been established to the readers with a solid fanbase. yall can root for his romance and whatsover but it is totally better if he got a totally new book and yall can happily yap about your liking of dohyeok and suha fans doesn't really deserve to yap how they hate dohyeok when he is an mc in ANOTHER book. This was suha's story and you can just comment that you miss your redhead but not shit on the main couple bcs if you dislike them. just unsubscribe until someone spoils dohyeok's reappearance in here if you feel like suha and jiwoon is wasting your time.

I agree about comparing trauma. I only mentioned it because someone said that Dohyeok is an abuser and got the ending he deserved but they have read stories with worse abusers who had a happy ending with the victim so I mentioned it since I thought they were being a hypocrite.

I said in my first reply in this thread that I agree people who want Dohyeok should just mention him without hating on Suha since this story is about him like the title says. I think a separate story for him would be amazing but chances of that happening are low as many authors tend to finish a side characters story within the story of the main characters. So people are hoping for a good ending here. I know Dohyeok is still bad which is why I said in the last sentence on the post that he hopefully learns his lesson from the karma Siwoo gave him and gets therapy for his anger issues and trauma he may have received so he can become a better person and doesn't cause others to suffer anymore.

Honestly someone who said he got the ending he deserved read stories with worse abusers who actually ended with their victim and suffered less karma than Dohyeok yet they are happy.

I feel you, I want to talk about this too if you don't mind :). Dohyeok is dirty, cruel, and messed up. I get why people say he doesn’t “deserve” happiness. I’m not defending what Dohyeok did. I used to hate him, but the more I looked into it, the more I was surprisingly amazed by the thoughtful opinions from Dohyeok’s fans on Twitter. Most of them aren’t defending him or want him to end up with Siwoo or anything like that. They just believe he deserves a chance to heal and find peace on his own. He was horrible, but when you dig deeper, you see he was just a kid who was “loved” only as long as he served his family’s business interests. He had no one who sincerely loves him, so he took it out on Suha during their relationship. That’s so fucking messed up. But I believe there’s always a reason behind a person’s actions, even if it doesn’t excuse them.

I’m honestly in awe of how mature and nuanced some Dohyeok fans are. Most of them who criticize the author aren’t just angry shippers, they’re asking why a character as complex as Dohyeok was left hanging with no proper closure. Not everyone expresses it well. Most of the complaints on Twitter come from legal readers, so as an illegal reader, I choose to stay quiet and just read the comments under the author’s posts.

Let’s be real, My Suha’s traffic skyrocketed when Dohyeok entered the story. I’m pretty sure the author knows how powerful Dohyeok’s presence is in the narrative. I hope he gets a future where he’s happy with himself, not with Siwoo.

Siwoo is not as good as you see. Siwoo kept trying to assert moral superiority and act like a hero, it was like "Oh look at this disgusting piece of shit that hurt Suha, I want to destroy him because he deserved it". Well, istg Siwoo was like GOD for Suha's stans I guess, no? I don’t know why there’s still no separate story for Dohyeok. Maybe the author’s still considering it, or working on something else, or maybe she’s dropped it entirely. Well, it's her story, so it's up to her.

Omg never thought like that. Now seeing your perspective maybe it would be better for Dohyeok to end up with someone else instead of Siwoo. I'm fine with the author not making a story for Dohyeok he is a side character after all. I think people just comment their support so the author sees that the character is liked and if they were planning something they can continue it instead of scrapping it since in the beginning Dohyeok got a lot of hate which could've discouraged the author. In the past if you liked Dohyeok you would get a ton of hate it's only now that more people are seeing things from Dohyeok perspective and understand him more.
