Damn, that's rough, but i swear it's always so funny watching people get so engaged in the narative they forget all reason.
As an author i hope i'll get able to make people this immersed into my stories, but as a human, sheesh, calm down people
if someone forced their way into your house and brought death to your whole family cuz they refuse to leave, you wouldn't be be upset? esp if this so called victim claimed to care about you and your family, bffr. even if they miscalculated and that wasn't their intention it was still at the expense of someone's else life

So yeah, sure, if he had refused to leave after being told to in that recent chapter, things would be different (this is why gaining people's trust is really important, irl too! :))
