Imagine being a gay guy (with homophobia trauma) who starts having se* with a man who clearly said he never had exeperience with a guy before (ntm that he found straight por* in his room at some point). From the begining of the relationship, ML clearly displays signs of having no care in world. He looked like he only stayed 'cause MC cooked and warmed his bed (he even helped him clean his house and did his laundry). Wouldn't you feel insecure if you were in his place? the ML looked like he could leave the moment he got bored. MC knows better than anyone how hard it is to be gay in a conservative society. So why would a man who could have a relationship with a woman stick around for long, much less fall in love with him? I wouldn't have believed ML either. A guy who confesses out of the blue, only a month after meeting you and without showing it is weird. What did he really do to get MC's affection? NOTHING.

Se*uality is not binary, it's a spectrum. You can be curious and try stuff without being able to be in a romantic relationship with the people you sleep with. MC was right to be cautious. Just 'cause you can get it up with a guy doesn't mean you can love him. OR even be able to resist the stigma around your relationship.
