Oh come on, she was living with her ex, so she must know how much even cheap suit cost, plus he is riding a damn bike, those are not cheap at all, if he was a poor kid, he couldn't afford those things, plus he was buying flowers (I might be wrong) everyday.
Author just made her naive to a point it's kinda unrealistic.

You are kinda right tho, like that certain inexistence level of naivety like even a kid would think he is rich seeing his clothes like you definitely can tell always, and the floor thing so true like she knows how they cost and he buying them everyday she should at least doubt it or even question it right? but maybe author didn't want to focus on it i don't know even tho it kinda bother me too

She isn't living in a cave, she is over 30, she met a lot of ppl, even a kid could by one glance know if someone is poor or not, yes she must be so busy, that she doesn't even put one thought about someone who is rn basically her only friend, what next she will be making him dinners because he must be hungry after looking for a job all day, and since he doesn't have a job he can't afford food? Give me a break, no one is this naive.

Exactly my point, I understand that she might be naive in human relations, she was working half of her life, and her only contact with other person was her scummy ex, but thinking that good looking, well groomed, young guy, that rides a bike, and buys flowers all the time is poor? Like you said, even a child would know after one glance that he is well off.
Listen, I like this story a lot, but one thing is bothering me, ha acted like a poor kid in front of her, but since then he showed up on a bike, most of the time he is wearing good clothes, suits, coats etc, so how tf she still didn't realize that he is well off? Like come on.
But still I enjoy this story quite a lot, but on the other hand I have this gut feeling that before she will be trully happy, she will have to deal with a lot of bs from her ex, and ML's family.
I just want to see her happy, but I bet it will take quite a while for us to see her living a better life.
