Hmmmm

It’s like, I think it’s royal family’s doing, but then it makes me think for what would they even give them titles and try to humanize them just to do this?? Like it doesn’t make sense, so I wonder who is behind it. If it’s really them

Maybe it’s just this dog that they want to put down because of his lineage. If u saw the spoilers then this kind of makes sense if not live for the surprise

I know spoilers and that’s why it’s questionable for me. Why put him down now suddenly? Didn’t they wanna raise him? Have him big title too. Why waste resources and money like that and make situation so much more troublesome just to kill him. Wouldn’t it be easier to do it right after the war? It makes no sense

Spoilers are that he’s actually a prince and his hair is blonde. Not sure why they sent him there, I get why they would try to kill him but I just don’t get why now and not before?

Maybe bc he's regaining humanity? I don't think they hoped for Diarin to be as good as she is at her job. And since now he's becoming "worthy" of the title of prince, they want him off?
    Idk, I'm just guessing.
    It's just a theory.

I feel kind of the opposite. Like for me it just makes no point for them to waste all that time, money, resources and involve so many more people just to off him for becoming what they asked him to become. My thought is that maybe they see him becoming more human as a weakness and a chance to off him cause as a weapon it was harder? Maybe? Since he gets off guard and his senses become milder etc

My guess is some in the royal family want him dead and some want him alive. The former group just wasn't worried until he started making progress with Diarin (which is why they also have to get rid of her just as much)

Hire someone to humanize him and then get upset that it happened? Dunno

This is what makes more sense. Royalty and nobility usually gave factions so if we have a faction who wants him dead and a faction who wants him to be back in the position he should have never left, that makes sense.

I mean if they are different fractions then yeah. I thought they meant that they wanted him before but when he changed (did as they instructed) they suddenly wanted him dead, which didn’t make sense to me (though royals even across the real history could be unreasonable and stupid so)

Well... When they said "My guess is some in the royal family want him dead and some want him alive" it's clear they mean 2 groups.
Some in the royal family = group 1.
Some want him alive = group 2

Yeah I meant different groups lmao I feel like usually these stories go the split factions route

Yeah, that’s not what I was confused about. It was cause they used “former” and I get “former” and “latter” confused sometimes. English isn’t my first language.

Former and latter are definitely something that people struggle with in general i think, so that's totally reasonable :) sorry for not using more clear language!

No need to apologize at all! I could’ve read it more carefully
