Yeah totally, like inner actual thoughts and feelings, he hates it obviously as he should. I just don't see how outwardly being stand offish helps his cause? I guess he's not a good actor? I mean Garon literally says he's a bad liar in an upcoming scene so I guess he just can't hide his true feelings. All I'm saying is, it would make sense for a seduction assassination attempt to actually be seductive. I mean it works how he does it, but the character motivation is off for me. It only works because the author needs it to play this way. I'm not really sure what MC is after, other than to kill him with sex and steal the gun plans and his outward actions are kind of in conflict with those wants. Even if he's traumatised by sex, he chose to go there and attempt to kill him this way! Yes he can change his mind but it's just an odd way to go about it and he doesn't seem to have much of a plan. Which continues throughout the novel btw
Right, I don't get MCs attitude towards ML... like I do get it, he hates him for killing his mum and being a generally heartless bastard, BUT he wants him to have sex with him to poison him, so why does he complain about it? To keep up appearances? Despite him keeping it a secret why he hates him in particular... wouldn't it have made more sense to pretend to want it to kill him faster? I dunno, seems weird that he's literally trying to assassinate him with sex but doesn't want the sex. Could argue it's to be less suspicious but yhr inner monologue doesn't suggest that at all.
