It's only the first chapter, and it takes place right where we left off in season one. Jaekyung hasn't improved yet. If he understood right away that he was in the wrong for the entire way he treated Dan, the story would be paced too fast and there wouldn't be much of a development arc. I believe Jaekyung thinking back on Dan's expression when he was the most hurt by him is just the start of it.

So the only issue is gonna be how he treated him when he accused him? I know he’ll never even mention all the rape and shit. And that’s not bad character development, it’s bad writing when they act like there’s nothing wrong with it
