I think the point was they deserved the punishment for their own arrogance. They never considered the feelings of the women in the story so they didn’t deserve to have their own happy endings when they all acted self righteously the whole time
As for Helena she didn’t get a tragedy, she got her character development . She got to fulfil her own desires by making her own decisions, part of this included rejecting Alec because he never cared if she loved him or not throughout the whole story. He treated her like a possession.
I love it but I didn’t like the ending , like why do half or should I say all the characters end
Up in tragedy except the two protagonist ? The crown Prince , the og fl and even the red haired guy shouldn’t end in tragedy .
