Ok lock in I’m about to go into a lot of detail. Basically Dohyun was paid by Suhyang (wooyeon’s mom) to report what happened to Wooyeon. She did this with Dohyun and Danny as well but Wooyeon found out about Danny and decided to stay friends with him anyway. This really hurt Wooyeon because he thought that Dohyun being nice to him was only because his mother was paying him and that he couldn’t make a genuine relationship with anyone because of how controlling his mother is. But basically we get Dohyun’s pov and find out that he was an orphan. He met Suhyang as a child and kept in contact with her throughout the years. Then he got adopted by a rich family and when he turned 20 Suhyang contacted him again to be wooyeon’s tutor. When Wooyeon came back to Korea and his mother found out dohyun was still around she contacted him to keep tabs on Wooyeon but I’m pretty sure Dohyun said no this time or only gave minimal information (the translation I read wasn’t very good). Now I’ll get into slightly more detail. When Dohyun met Wooyeon he was surprised because of how little he resembled his domineering and scary mother and saw his younger self in him. He therefore felt a lot of affection towards him that was platonic at the time. After Wooyeon came back to Korea, Dohyun got close to him again and gradually started to like him but romantically this time and eventually they start dating. Dohyun has abandonment issues due to the fact he was an orphan and had to be on his best behaviour constantly to not be left behind again. This is the only reason he didn’t tell Wooyeon about Suhyang, it was because he didn’t want Wooyeon to abandon him. After a meeting with his mother Wooyeon puts 2 and 2 together and finds out that Dohyun worked for his mother so he goes to confront him and they end up breaking up because Wooyeon says he can’t trust him anymore. After that some time passes and Dohyun decides to just follow Wooyeon around in his freshman classes (lol) so he can try to win his favour/trust back. None of the teachers mind bc they all like Dohyun. Eventually Wooyeon finds out that he slightly misunderstood and that Dohyun wasn’t constantly monitoring him after he came back to Korea and that his mother only called his phone because he wasn’t giving information or smth so he decides to take him back.
Long story short Dohyun did not manipulate Wooyeon at all, I genuinely don’t understand how people got that from this and the only reason he didn’t tell him he worked for Suhyang was because he was terrified of Wooyeon leaving him :3 thanks for coming to my ted talk

Gonna agree on this one as someone who read the novel(I couldn’t wait anymore) but there was a time in the chapters where he appeared as a red flag but the chapters after that he explained himself so i understand it much better. Plus the chapters after 60+ i think they’re more fluff and actually communicate(i only read till chapter 68 because i couldn’t translate the more recent ones so idk )
I didn't read the spoiler but thank you for clearing up that he isn't a red flag. I read a comment like that a few chapters ago and it's been making me nervous because I really like this so far.

Sure! I’m not sure what kind of spoilers you want so I’m gonna go over what happens in the story. Basically Suhyang (wooyeon’s mom) publishes an article that confirms that Wooyeon isn’t her illegitimate child but a child that was born in wedlock before his omega mother died. This causes complications in his life such as reporters following him around and his mother forces him to move back into the family home and have the driver drive him around everywhere. After a while though he manages to move back out into an apartment but spends most of his time at Dohyun’s place. It is revealed that usually Dohyun doesn’t like to have the omegas he dates into his home but Wooyeon is an exception, he also thought that his apartment (payed by his rich adoptive parents) was excessive until he realised it could help provide for Wooyeon (lol). One day Wooyeon has to go back to his apartment because Dohyun’s little sister had a fight with her parents and decided to stay at Dohyun’s. Afterwards Dohyun has a fight with his little sister, which leads him to drink and then call Wooyeon over. The next morning, Jinah (Dohyun’s little sister) comes back and gets shocked when she sees Wooyeon. She then proceeds to grab him by the wrist and drag him to a barbecue place where she drinks and has a heart to heart with Wooyeon. After that Dohyun picks them up after a call from Wooyeon and drives them back to his apartment. Eventually they decide to live tgt (yippie). This is like one or two of the side stories lmk if you want more

I read the entire novel too including the extras and never read anything about them having twins but I keep seeing people mentioning that. I’m so confused do you have the link?
No it was mb lol I also saw other people talking about it and just assumed it was in the extras I was at the 4th when I posted that so I assumed it would happen in the 5th
Someone commented the artist’s social media that had artwork of Dohyun and the mc, with the caption saying they had twins. It showed dohyun’s reaction to the news, crying and happy.
No the art you’re talking about is the scene after Dohyun proposed to Woohyeon lol idk why that person said smth about twins
It wasn’t in the novel after all! After checking the artist’s account on Twitter, I saw she reposted a tweet made by the author from last year where she mentions Dohyun and Wooyeon eventually have twins, a boy and a girl :’)
Hey guys I read the novel and I’m here to say that Dohyun Is NOTTTT a red flag the people who say he is just lack the ability to include nuance into their thought process. He absolutely did not manipulate Wooyeon. He made a mistake and payed the price for it, communicated and made up for it. Wooyeon was fully able to make his own decisions on this and it was his choice fully to let dohyun back into his life (this is as much as I can say without big spoilers but if you want them tell me)
