Hey guys, what’s with being so salty lmao ?? I’m just asking why the author put her in a situation that she has to be rescued out of? If the whole point of the story is having a fl that can fight and be strong, I would expect that character to be able fight the antagonist at the climax. I’m not saying the situation she’s in doesn’t make sense, I’m upset at the author for making a strange choice with her characterization. I just think it’s a pity that she can’t fight her way out of it without being assisted by the ml. I don’t think she should be a Mary sue, but I just think it’s wasted potential. Also the attempted sexual assault came out of left field

You never consumed any real piece of media? A classic trope of a hero story is, that we always have a point where the hero who did everything alone realises that they are not omnipotent and have this "stronger together" or "lean on loyal friends" or "Heros need help, too" moment. It is normal okay. Nobody can be 100% always, even a "strong fl". There is nothing bad about her having a moment where she shows how human she is and how she needs help like any human sometimes does. This does not break her characters integrity. How old are you pls? Humans are not one way, so are characters not. They are not one dimensional. Dafuq...

Alright, this is a fair point, but I feel like this has been explored extensively in the plot already. There has been multiple moments where she realises she can rely on the ml and other characters. I’m just trying to say there could be alternative ways she could have been collaborating with the ml to defeat the antagonist, rather than being saved, and then assisting the ml. I haven’t read past the latest chapter so I wouldn’t go as far as to say that she wouldn’t have a part in killing or subduing the antagonist. Rather than being one dimensional, I just think the author is inconsistent with the characterization. Well these are just my thoughts, i wouldn’t really care about being proven right or wrong, it’s just interesting how invested we are in this argument.

You are absolutely right!! Speak your truth! The fact is, misogyny is still pretty rampant that most people WANT and LIKE the ML saving the FL. They still do believe that the ML should be 'protecting' the FL. That's just what sells. People just aren't ready/don't like a world where gender roles are completely nonexistent. Especially in this genre where it such a staple.
Why is she a damsel in distress at the climax
