I don't think he liked her sexually just found her cute yk? And then liked her as a person even more after she saved his nephew putting her own life in danger... like that type of liking long time ago u see...as a person not as romantic interests and when he saw her being mistreated he felt this many times to save her and marry her even but could not do so outright cuz he is shy..(￣∇￣")

Oh, I get it. When I first read it, I was like, "Oh no, this isn't going in that direction, is it?" But after I saw the panels, I got the basic idea. It was just a comprehension error; the translator didn't convey the intent properly.
