The character is undeniably terrible. But maybe the intensity of your hate says more about how effectively he was written. Flat characters don’t usually get this kind of attention.
The author should spend or time and effort in making the main story better instead of giving undeserved happiness to the antagonist. If anything, making a new manhwa about them would be better than mixing and taking away time from main couple
You're right. I do think Chahyun knows exactly what she was doing by bringing Dohyeok into her stories. The way the ratings dropped after Side Story 2 for the main couple shows that a lot of people were rooting for Dohyeok’s story even though he’s an asshole. I think it's not because they’re crazy fangirls, but because for a character as complex as Dohyeok, Chahyun’s writing just left his arc hanging without any real closure. If someday we really get a separate story for Dohyeok, I just hope he ends up happy with himself, without Siwoo.
