Yes, and it's great because he still have to show all the respect required by a king so it's not incongruous that he's withstanding it. And he's working hard to run away while navigating the reality he's in, even the mistake (trying to save the guy) fits his situation and his denial regarding his king, doesn't diminish how smart we've already seen that he is! The duality of his morality, befitting his time, and his pain!!!! Sorry, I'm just very excited about this work, heheh

This is so well written. The seme is completely deranged but his mind still works in his favor, it's not like other abusive semes that everything works their way by pure plot armor. His evil doings are consistent, but in a way that doesn't make you wonder "why isn't there a rebellion yet", like, you can see why he's still in power. He managed to completely isolate MC, and since he's the king, none will question him. Give them enough time and he might be able to break the will of the MC. I wonder where the writer will go with this. Mind break so mc falls for his abuser after enduring severe trauma? Finding someone else half way through the comic to save him? (only saw happening once). Maybe killing the king and becoming it himself or dying together? The king oughta have a heir so it would be possible to have a double death as an ending.
Down point: really wish the important talk/insight wasn't middle rape scene so I could skip it and still read what matters.
