There are two villains in the story, the dragons and the demons (the woman who appeared previously reviving a noble child in exchange for the lives of the children Vlad saved), Joseph was quite sick but after losing the position of head of the family against his brother he decides to use what's left of his life to help defeat the demons, being killed during the battle while giving a chance to Vlad and the rest to defeat them... English is not my language so the translation may have mistakes haha
