his past will repeat most likely due to the fact that he cant stand seeing others get abused. he did gave up his dream job as a chef bc of his guilt for living in comfort while his peers die in the war. Since the royal family has lost their power; another war might break out sooner or later + a lot of corruption going on like those slave rings
I wish he refuse the prince because being a mage brings back all the trauma he experienced and I hope he goes back to their restaurant and live his life following his real passion instead
