Honestly I read bj Alex and I'm pretty sure this is just that story but worse.
I think this writer got caught up in all the hate comments she got for writing these static characters and doubled down on them. She forgot to include any kind of nice moments that would make people think this couple has a chance because she already knew they'd be together regardless.
It sucks that she let people influence her into diminishing her story.
When I read this and saw the Dan lookalike it just made me cringe. Like girl. That's all you could come up with?
It seems now we're gearing up to get his sad backstory now. I feel like we're gonna get some super sobby story that's way over the top to justify this guy. I think it will try too hard and I'm gonna roll my eyes.
Jjk is still redeemable imo though he's just a mega verbally abusive asshole. I'll read this chase arc I know what I came here for lol. The guy in salvation spirit has no possible way to redeem himself fuck a chase arc that bottom needs to leave the story.
Even in the darkest BLs there's always a bit of balance in the seme's behavior. There's usually SA and verbal abuse but after few chapters, the seme shows some kind of affection or is being suddenly protective. There's none of this here. Jk is despicable and it just gets worse there's not a single sign of self-questionning. That's why making Dan fall for him so early in the story makes the whole thing laughable. There's not even pleasure in their sex scenes. He's just being tortured physically and verbally and that naive creature miraculously falls for the monster. I thought this author was more talented than this. I truly liked BJ Alex :/
