I think the author is using the storyline and storytelling in the tale of Adam and Eve as a way to portray the story. I don’t think they’re bringing Christianity into the manga You also have to think that Adam and Eve one of a stories in the bible :3!!! (I’m also Christian)

Being serious/constructive: In literature we recognize adaptation, subversion, reimagining, reinterpretation, meta criticism, allegory etc. I'm sorry you feel uncomfy but as someone who likes to challenge their own horizons, I have to say it'll only hold you back in the long run to be unable to see things like that as separate and while not existing in a vacuum, are their own literatures as much as a fanfic can be its own thing. There's lots of media based on biblical references, Evangelion for one. I'm just saying it might do you some good to try to challenge that part of yourself and deconstruct biases.

I get what you're saying but Biblical names often carry a spiritual, symbolic or historical charge that makes them very particular. When they appear in a non-religious context, such as in a novel or film, it can cause a lag or discomfort, especially if the use moves away from the values or meaning associated with these names in the Bible. I hope you'll understand that.

I don't want to sound rude but you can't tell someone "challenge" themselves when it clearly goes against something they clearly feel a negative emotion towards. I'm reading this story because I know it doesn't disrespect my religion, they clearly didn't bring Christianity into this.

Now, I don't think I badly spoken about this story or said something negative. I just stated how I felt about it.

Also, I think that if you believed in something and respected it too, you would feel a little uncomfortable in this kind of situation.

I mean the whole concept in religion is having something you as a person believe in. There no need to mention deconstructing a bias when someone does not want to tackle it at all. OP stated how they felt and it was valid tbh!!!

Thank you for clarifying. I was coming from a place of wanting to point out that you can believe in a religion while simultaneously interpreting its stories as allegory and myth--something no one is obliged to do, just a perspective that many believers occupy.

I also apologize if I came off too critical, I guess I have a degree of negative experiences with religion that I spent quite some time intellectualizing it as an area of study/analysis to distance myself from it.

Thanks for your thoughtful reply and hope this clears up any negative vibes my original comment gave you.

I know there's many people who have had a.. particular experience with religion and with the religious communities (these so called religious have totally destroyed the image of the religion and faith) so I totally understand your point.

And no need to apologize . I didn’t take your comments as overly critical at all. I just felt a bit awkward because I thought that you misinterpreted my words (I'm still learning English so sometimes I can't clearly express myself)

I’m really glad you took the time to clarify your previous comment. Thank you and have a good day/night
