Shocking news but in chapter 29 Mikage Reo’s hopelessly in love but fucking dumb and OBLIVIOUS (“non-romantic”) partner Nagi Seishiro finally attains a bit of COMMON SENSE! He finds out that the words he said to the love of his life (because of football) was.. mean! Oh, I never would’ve known.
Moving on to the serious part, I adore how Nagi is slowly learning more about the world and being interested in football and not only playing it because it’s his and Reo’s dream to win the World Cup together. Nagi applying what he felt when he felt as if his dreams were crushed to what he did to Reo during the second selection and realizing that “Oh. I was mean to Reo” and how he immediately goes to thinking about how he needs to fix things but he can’t do that unless he gets the final goal because at the end of the day, Nagi’s main purpose is to win WITH REO.
