I'm guessing he found the inheritance meant for the mc like why is he so obsessed?! Just get the money and leave!!! Also.....it was the way all the little things built up for the mc for him to doubt the ml. Like it was small things and then the arrival of that guy and then letting the words get to him that's why this happened! But also I think deep down he was never okay with ml sleeping with others
