it would be rude to assume the father was naive enough not to realise the coins (that he spent so much time and effort ensuring were passed down) were fake all along.
not to mention that in the ch before, if the coin turned out to be real it'd be worth 800k not 80k. so instead of spending 500 to get it appraised and auctioned, he's selling off his stuff
If you're giving him 80k already throwing in a few hundred to get it examined should not be an issue?? Esp if you don't care whether it's real or fake??
